Go on a Discovery Reef Scuba Dive Near Waikiki Beach
Our discovery dives take beginners and certified divers to two natural coral reefs filled with many types of marine life.
On your dive, you’ll likely see friendly sea turtles, schools of rare Hawaiian fish, and plenty of octopus. Don’t worry — even if you have a hard time discovering wildlife on your own, our crew members will point you in the right direction. Our team seems to have an uncanny ability of spotting sea creatures from far away!
Tours depart from Kewalo Basin Harbor or Maunalua Bay, depending on which one you book. We provide transportation to and from the harbor. We rotate between a selection of reef dive sites, including:

Note:
This guided shallow dive is a great family activity because it’s designed for all skill-levels, including certified, non-certified, student, and beginner divers. To ensure safety and a focus on diving basics, Waikiki Dive Centers will group divers by experience so that only four non-certified divers will be assigned to a specialized dive instructor at a time. Certified divers will have a separate dive master or dive instructor.
With an exemplary safety record for over 43 years, Waikiki Dive Center offers outstanding PADI discovery programs and complete diving services. Each dive begins with a short lesson and demonstration of four essential diving skills. Our team members will make sure you have what you need to feel comfortable and ready for the ocean.
All participants will need to fill out and sign a medical form before being allowed to dive. If you answer “yes” to any of the form’s questions, you must receive written consent from a doctor (either via email or fax) and bring it to Waikiki Dive Center before leaving on the dive trip. We recommend that you review and complete your medical form during the booking process so that you can plan ahead if a doctor’s note is needed.
